On February 5, 2018, the UAE President issued a federal decree ratifying the country’s tax treaty with Paraguay.
The treaty provides for a withholding tax rate of 15 percent on dividends, interest, and royalties.
The treaty was signed on January 16, 2017. The treaty will come into force after it is ratified by Paraguay and both countries exchange the ratification instruments.
