Taiwan Begins International Tax Training for 2018

Taiwan’s Finance Ministry is holding the 2018 International Tax Academy from July 30 to August 17 this year.

The event was launched in 1984 and is conducted every year in cooperation with the School of Law of Southern Methodist University.

Foreign tax officers and international tax scholars are invited to speak on the latest international taxation trends and share their experiences with the country’s revenue officials.

This year, the training focusses on three themes: transfer pricing, cross-border e-commerce, and exchange of information and common reporting standard.

The lecturers for 2018 are: James McOmber of Deloitte US, Sitanan Sriworakorn from Thailand’s Office of the Attorney General, and Chi Chung and Kuo-Liang Chen from the Department of Public Finance of National Cheng-Chi University, Taiwan.
