Japan and Peru have “in principle” agreed to conclude a tax treaty.
Th tax treaty would clarify the scope of taxation in the two countries, eliminate international double taxation, and prevent tax avoidance. The tax treaty is expected to promote further mutual investments and economic exchanges between both countries.
The tax treaty would be signed (and enter into force) after both governments complete the necessary internal procedures.
