Revised Singapore, Sri Lanka Tax Treaty In Force

Tax treaty between Singapore and Sri Lanka in force

A revised tax treaty between Singapore and Sri Lanka entered into force on December 31, 2017.  

The revised treaty lowers the withholding tax rates for dividends and royalties, and updates the provisions for determining permanent establishments. 

The revised treaty also incorporates the internationally agreed standard for exchange of information for tax purposes.

The revised treaty was signed in April 2014.
